Winter Tour Starts Tonight, Chris Thile and Brad Mehldau Duo Dates

Hi folks,

Greetings from the precipice of our Winter Tour, better known around these parts as Milwaukee! While the tour page is perhaps the easiest reference for our upcoming travels (for instance, there you can see that Sarah Jarosz has just been added on 2/7 in DC), the more artistic (and more nautically-themed) option is our beautiful new Winter Tour poster, designed by Landland. It will be available for purchase at the merch table:

This is the only proper Punch Brothers tour in 2013, minus a few scattered festival dates like Spoleto and Telluride, so we really hope to see you in the coming weeks. The boys will be spending much of the year writing the next Punch Brothers album and working on some assorted side-ventures.

Case in point: Thile will be joining forces with renowned jazz pianist Brad Mehldau for a series of duo shows in April (dates and cities can be found on the tour page). To give you a slightly shaky taste of what to expect, here's a fan-shot video of Chris and Brad covering Radiohead's "Knives Out" from a performance a few years back:

If that wasn't enough multimedia for one day, the folks at CMT are featuring the "Movement and Location" video shot early last year by Danny Clinch at Pete's Candy Store in Brooklyn. You can watch it here:

Best,
