New Year's Eve in New York City!

Howdy friends!

Pickles, here, with some news that will surely change your lives. Especially for those of you who have yet to make plans to ring in 2013! Awhile back, the fine folks at Punch Brothers HQ suggested that we host a three night New Year's Eve extravaganza. After much internal band deliberation, we decided it was indeed a good idea as long as three conditions were met.

1. PB 2013 New Year's Eve 3-Night Extravaganza must take place on December 29th, 30th, and 31st 2012.

2. New Year's Eve 3-Night Extravaganza must take place in New York City at the Bowery Ballroom.

3. Punch Brothers super fans must be permitted to buy a "SUPER PASS" that grants admission to all three shows and an exclusive limited-edition New Year's Eve 3-night silkscreen poster. "SUPER PASS" may only appear in print in capital letters, and may only appear in conversation in a loud manner.

It brings me great pleasure to announce that those terms have been met and that a presale is now underway, right here!

For those of you who do your scheduling in reverse and are already booked up this December, I should let you know Punch Brothers will be appearing at the Gramercy Theatre on October 5 as part of the New Yorker Festival. There'll be a Q&A with Alec Wilkinson. We'll be asking the hard questions and there will also be a short performance. Details are here.

And on to some news that will surely change the lives of those you who don't live in New York City. Our North American fall tour kicks off its first leg next Thursday in Montreal at Théâtre Corona and continues on with shows in New York (STATE. Calm!), North Carolina, New Orleans, Georgia, and other places where we're apparently not concerned with ticket sales! Also, Punch Brothers are inching even closer to our debut appearance in Italy. We have added a new show in Florence... Alabama at Shoals Community Theatre on October 19th; individual tickets on sale here.

The second leg, which starts November 24th in Vancouver, will take us all the way down the West Coast and will wrap up with a pair of dates in Minneapolis and Chicago. We're excited to be joined by Tom Brosseau and The Milk Carton Kids for many of these dates.

A reminder to our European friends that we're coming back this fall. Things kick off with three stops in Germany in October with Nonesuch labelmates Carolina Chocolate Drops: MTC Club in Cologne on the 22nd, Lido in Berlin on the 23rd, and Knust in Hamburg on the 24th. Keep an eye on Paul Kowert's twitter feed (@arkansausage) for any last minute announcements pertaining to impromptu PB stagings of the entire Ring Cycle at the merch table post-show.

We'll return to France for a concert at the Festival International Mandolines de Lunel on November 3rd and follow that up with eight shows across the UK and the Crossing Border festivals in the Netherlands and Belgium.

Who's Still Feeling Young Now?

Best,
Noam
