New US Dates Added In 2013, Ahoy! Pre-Order Underway

Hello again!

As promised, we have an exciting new string of early 2013 dates to announce!  The tour kicks off with dates in Milwaukee, St. Louis, and Dallas at the end of January before heading east with stops in many of the cities we didn't visit this last time around. The run includes an exciting return to the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta (1/31) and the 9:30 Club in DC (2/8), plus our first-ever show at the House of Blues in Boston (2/16).  Anais Mitchell will join us for many of these dates. A limited pre-sale starts tomorrow morning at 10am local time here and you can check the tour page for more details.

The pre-order for our new EP, Ahoy!, is still running at punchbrothers.com/preorder! As a refresher, Ahoy!, out November 13th, is a collection of five songs from the Who’s Feeling Young Now recording sessions, including three covers (“Another New World” by Josh Ritter, “Down Along the Dixie Line” by Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, and “Icarus Smicarus” by Mclusky), the band's arrangement of the traditional tune “Moonshiner,” and an original instrumental track “Squirrel of Possibility.”

We hope those of you who have already pre-ordered Ahoy! are enjoying your instant download of "Another New World" but for you holdouts out there, you can preview the track here.

And while we're looking forward to the 2013 tour, don't forget we still have plenty of shows remaining in 2012! We're currently in Germany (oh, Junge!) and will continue performing in Europe well into next month before heading back Stateside.  The North American leg includes a slew of West Coast dates and a couple in the Midwest, and we close out the year with a three-night New Year's run at Bowery Ballroom in NYC. Visit the tour page for details!

Best,
