Chris Thile & Edgar Meyer New Album/Tour, Critter & Julian Lage Tour
Hi folks,
Chris Thile and Edgar Meyer have teamed up for their second duo album, Bass & Mandolin, due out September 9th. You can pre-order the album (along with an exclusive tee bundle) at ThileMeyer.com and get an instant download of "Tarnation" (which you can stream here).
Thile and Edgar will be on the road this September and October for a tour that spans much of the US (with a stop north of the border in Vancouver for good measure). Tickets are on sale now; you can check out the full list at ThileMeyer.com.
Critter and Julian Lage have a new round of dates together in October, focusing mostly on the East Coast but with a few outliers thrown. If you missed their EP together, Close to Picture, you can pick that up here and here's a taste of what their live show is like.
Coming up in NYC this weekend, Critter and Michael Daves will celebrate the music of The Stanley Brothers with two shows at Rockwood Music Hall, Stage 2. Songs to include lots of Gamblin', Cheatin', Cryin', Poisonin', The Good Lord, Mother, Dad, Cabins, Jails, Ghosts, etc. For a preview, here's their take on "The Rambler's Blues," "She's More To Be Pitied," and "Nobody's Love is Like Mine." Tickets are available here: Sat, Aug 9, Sun, Aug 10, or a two-night pass for both.
Best,
Punch Brothers HQ
